Learn more about the profession of osteopathic medicine, including a demonstration of osteopathic manipulation technique, from the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine’s Dr. Carole Browne ’80. Rock Climbing and Hiking at Enchanted Rock

Whether you're a new or experienced climber, join us at the crag for a fun and adventurous day at one of the most unique Texas landmarks. Our outdoor adventure staff will teach you the ins and outs of rock climbing and belaying techniques on the beautiful granite cliffs of Enchanted Rock!

Geocache and Craft Adventure

Capture the beauty of your own backyard on Outdoor Adventure’s new trip! We’ll head to Southwestern's 500 Acres for an artistic day hike. You'll have the opportunity to create your own work of art using paint, beads, and more! Once your works of art are complete, we'll stow them in Geocaches hidden on the 500 Acres. Outdoor Adventure is partnering with Pirate Pups for a dog-friendly hike! We will be exploring SU's own 500 Acres. Come learn how to prepare yourself and your dog for future adventures together. Non-dog owners are welcome. If you choose to bring your pup, they must be leashed!

We are hiring Writing Consultants, Subject Tutors, and Peer Academic Mentors (PAMs): student leaders who are passionate about helping their peers succeed. As part of the Learning Commons, you’ll contribute to a collaborative, student-centered environment that supports academic growth across disciplines.

 

In these roles, you will:

 

Work one-on-one with students or in small groups to strengthen writing, course content knowledge, and study strategies
Help peers build confidence and become more independent learners
Develop valuable leadership, communication, and professional skills
