Meditation Mondays

📢 Update: This session is now VIRTUAL ONLY!

Join us TODAY for a brief but impactful 20-minute Mindfulness Mental Health Check-In (whereever you are!), designed to help you pause, breathe, and reset in the middle of your busy day. This virtual session will guide you through simple mindfulness practices, including deep breathing and a short body scan, to reduce stress and support mental clarity.

We will also take a few moments to reflect on our current mental state, gently acknowledging thoughts and feelings without judgment. This check-in offers a safe, supportive space to slow down, tune in, and practice self-care so you can return to your day feeling more centered and refreshed.

Who It’s For:
Anyone looking for a quick mental reset. Whether you are new to mindfulness or have experience, all are welcome. No special equipment or preparation is needed. Just come as you are.

Behind the Curtain: Racism in Our Classrooms, Communities, and Institutions

Breaking the Cycle: How Racism is Embedded in Laws, History, Schools, and Society

On April 27th, 2026, there will be a Creative Project Presentation in F.W. Olin Room 105 from 3:05 PM to 3:45 PM focused on understanding how racism has developed over time and how it continues to influence society today. This presentation will explore the ways racism is connected to historical events, legal systems, education, and everyday experiences.

The presentation will be given by Kaddy Maravilla, Myla Wolf, Alexis Bolte, Jaylon Hardeman, and Berlin Galley as  part of Dr. Moore’s Schools, Society & Diversity class. This session will look at how racism operates beyond individual actions by examining the larger systems and structures that shape opportunities and outcomes. Participants will be encouraged to reflect, engage in discussion, and think critically about how past and present are connected.

All are welcome to attend.
