To all active officers and students seeking to start their own club/organization in Fall 2026, please see announcement from Director of Student Engagement, Jacorey Patterson:
I hope you are pushing through midterms and looking forward to a well deserved Spring Break. As part of Southwestern University’s efforts to strengthen student leadership to engage all students in activities beyond the classroom, we are launching a new funding process for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Beginning this year, student organizations will complete a form to submit their funding request for the upcoming year. Once submitted, the Student Government Association (SGA) will serve as the primary student body responsible for reviewing requests and recommending how student organization funds are allocated and distributed.
Through this new process, organizations will:
Update organization and advisor information
Confirm leadership for the upcoming academic year
Submit a funding request outlining anticipated programs, events, and organizational needs
Please submit the registration and funding form by Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
SGA will review submitted requests and work to distribute funds in a way that supports student engagement and programming across campus.
To be eligible for funding for the upcoming year, all student organizations must complete this process. Priority funding will be allocated to those organizations who submit forms by the deadline.
If you have any questions or need assistance completing the form, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help!
